Thinking about something new.

Whilst I’m waiting for the kiln to cool down I have to keep busy to stop me from wondering what I will find when I open the door! This is a piece that I made for this years exhibition and it can be seen in the garden until the end of October. I am interested in what happens to a perfect circle, made in this case with a compass, but drawn over a curved surface which distorts the shape beautifully.
I have made these little pieces and used a compass to draw perfect circles on the curved surfaces, I will paint in various coloured lines and fire them tomorrow in the little kiln.I am also trying colours on squares of new clay at the same time, to see if the colours vary if the clay is slightly different.
