I am working my way round, methodically taking out the finger marks. Always supporting the piece with my other hand. A wobble now could cause a fatal crack! Done………………… for today.

7th September 2016I was thrilled to have Anna Kime working in the garden today. She installed these wall pieces which are made from various bodies of thrown clay. They are absolutely beautiful, I am so pleased to be able to show them. Thank you Anna!
I’m Almost There.
Carefully does it!
6th September 2016I am gradually bringing the top together, being very careful to join the underside as carefully as I have the rest of the form. I can not put any weight on it as I work and I must support every movement. It’s a bit Awkward!h

Changing the Angle.
I am bringing in the sides by placing the clay coils on the inside of the piece.I am aiming for a domed top which will be strong and comfortable to sit upon, will not hold water, and will provide a perfect surface for the detail.
