Now these are more like it, yippeeeee finally I have fired red to melting point and retained the colour. I need to refine a bit, and see if the glaze will still stay on a curved surface, but hopefully I’m nearly there now. Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I completed this piece for this years show. This image shows the surface application of vivid yellow slip, however after it has dried for 8 weeks, it will come out of the kiln a beautifully metallic amazing black!
At this time of year the garden is still bearing the beautifully elegant decaying seed heads of last summer, stripped of their flesh and lace like in appearance.
