I make abstract pieces that have the characteristics of common objects such as wheels, plates, collars or rings. I respond to the materials and processes I use creating fluid forms that retain movement and suggest tension through balance.
When making work I tend to think about everyday activity, walking, travelling—routines. The way we rely on the possessions we carry and the way we follow habitual routes. I am interested in places and objects that inspire feelings of safety or security—why we revisit and retain.
