We are Open!

11th May 2017

The preview was a great success, a big thank you to everyone who helped to make it such a lovely event. I have started building the first of three pieces for a private collection and I thought I would show the process day by day. I am gradually coiling the clay, making sure each piece […]

Im So Pleased With These

10th May 2017

Today was a glorious day, I opened the kiln and was ecstatic about what I found. There are two more to this group and they are firing now, they will be out on Saturday morning which is cutting it a bit fine as I open for the private view on Saturday afternoon! The garden opens to […]

A Process.

30th April 2017

I draw through the yellow slip, revealing the inlaid colour underneath. I cant afford to slip now, every mark I make will show. Blimey, this one was heavy! What a transformation, i love it! It looks beautiful in the garden. Putting work outside really brings the surfaces to life.

What a difference!

22nd March 2017

Today I opened the kiln. I was terrified about this firing as I had to do it sooner than I would have liked, in order to fire all seven in time for delivery to The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden. It is absolutely perfect and I love it. It has an armour like quality which is […]

Ready to fire.

14th March 2017

Today I have re-drawn in the linear detail which I do by scratching through the surface with a knife to reveal the colour underneath. This is the point where the quality of the line is achieved so it is a long slow job, not to be rushed! Finished and ready to fire. The detail before […]
